Ebony S. Muhammad (EM): In regards to the Reality of God, I would like to talk to you about the Originator. You spoke so beautifully about Him in giving such a tangible perspective that was easy to grasp. I think at times some of us make Him so abstract, which can be confusing.
How did the Originator of the Heavens and the Earth Create Himself out of triple darkness? The material that He used; you spoke of that being of the Universe. Can you simplify that just a little bit, and what is the significance of that process to us here in North America?
Ava Muhammad (AM): Yes ma’am. We’re taught by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad that the Being, that is referred to as the First God, Created Himself in and from the darkness of space. Of course, the Holy Quran confirms this in that it states that Allah Created Himself and the Universe in and from the triple darkness of space. Even in the book of Genesis in the Bible, which was written by Moses, he confirms in his writing that in the beginning there was darkness, and of course to originate means to bring into being.
We’re taught that when God desires a thing, He only says to it, “Be” and it is. In the Bible it says, “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God and the Word became flesh and dwelled among men”. Therefore, in this combination of scripture and in the Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, received directly from Master Fard Muhammad, we see that we’re not discussing anything spooky. We’re dealing with real matter.
The Holy Quran calls upon us to believe in the unseen. Well, unseen only means that it’s not perceivable by the physical eye. Therefore, just because something is unseen doesn’t mean that it’s unreal. The most common example of that, Minister Farrakhan has taught over and over, is gravity. We all believe that gravity exists and that it is a force. I’m on the 24th floor of a building right now, and I know that if I step out of the window I’m going down. What brings you down? It’s a force called gravity, but where is it? You can’t see it, but it exists. It has as much of an affect as you and I grabbing something with our hands and pulling it down.
We have to acknowledge that while we live in this third dimension of matter, this is not the only dimension of matter, and that’s the point. There are additional dimensions of life that are actually still matter and substance that they may not be perceivable within the confines of the third dimension where we live now; where we have vertical, horizontal and we have depth. There is a fourth and fifth dimension and beyond where matter is just as much a reality as it is here.
The Western scientists only recently discovered what they call the Black Hole in outer space. Black Holes are condensed, powerful sources of gravity that literally sucks in anything moving that comes within its sphere. The surface of a Black Hole in space is absolutely undetectable. You cannot see it, and you don’t know that it’s there until you’re pulled into. I’m saying all of that to say that God is very real.
In fact, the Black Hole prevents anything in clean light from escaping its gravitational pull. Well in the beginning, Allah (God) said, “Let there be light”, and there was light. Therefore, Allah’s Word has so much Power that the Power enabled the light to escape the gravitational pull of the Blackness of space. We are taught in our Lessons that light, as fast as it is, is superseded in speed by the power and speed of thought. Therefore, this thinking expressed by the Word of the Originator was so powerful and so fast that it was able to pull the light out of the Blackness of space and through that light all of the life we see around us now became possible.
EM: All Praise is Due to Allah! Thank you ma’am!
You mentioned in your lecture regarding the Originator, the position of the Earth being a perfect position to see everything in the Universe. Can you expound on that in terms of the Originator positioning the Solar System?
AM: The Honorable Elijah Muhammad stated in the Theology of Time that the highest intelligence in the Solar System in the Universe is the intelligence on the planet Earth, the intelligence of the Asiatic Black man, Asiatic meaning Earth. We are on the highest level, the most advanced being that Allah (God) Created that the position in which He Created everything and the place that He made His home is this planet. It is the third planet from the Sun, but it’s the first planet Willed into existence.
Master Fard Muhammad taught the Messenger in the 1930’s that the Western scientists come in the 2000’s and what do they confirm? They find from their studies that the planet Earth is in the darkest part in the Solar System. The Solar System is named after our Sun. Therefore, everything from the Sun all the way out to Pluto is Solar System. The Earth is in the darkest part of the Solar System.
When you leave the Earth and look at the System itself, we know that we are not only moving around the Sun, but the Sun is moving around as well through the Universe. The Sun is part of what the scientists call the Milky Way Galaxy. This Galaxy has billions of stars, and our Solar System is in the darkest part of the Milky Way Galaxy. The Milky Way Galaxy is in the darkest part of the Universe. Well, what does all of that mean?
The best way to see what we call “outer space” and to study the planets and the stars is to be in the dark. Just like when you go to a movie theater, when they are about to start the film what do they do? They darken the theater. If they kept the lights on, it would dull what you’re looking at on the screen. Just like now. All of the stars we saw last night are still out there, but we don’t see them now because we’re in the light of the Sun. Therefore, the best view that one can have to study the Galaxy and to study the Universe is from the darkest position and that is the one that we occupy. This is because Allah wants us to be able to study, because we are His direct descendants.
We are created directly after Him. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad pointed out in the Theology of Time that this is one of the reasons we are so rebellious, because we have, and I’m paraphrasing so forgive me, we have almost an aggressive curiosity about things. We have a very powerful EGO. The Minister gives us two study guides, No. 10 “The God Within” and then No. 11 “Allah (God) Is the True Center of Everything”, because we’re so powerful that we’re the only ones in this whole system who challenged the Creator, Himself, and that led to our condition today beginning with the deportation of the Moon; that act of rebellion.
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said, for example, that there are Black people on the planet Mars. They are of a very high intelligence, but they are not as we are in the sense of seeking to know more or seeking to conquer more. They have not come here or tried to study us, because they don’t have an interest in anything beyond what is on their planet. Yet and still, they live to be approximately 1200 Earth years. Why do they live so long? Because they practice obedience to Allah’s (God’s) Will. They only eat what grows on that planet, and they act and live in accordance to the laws of nature.
EM: Thank you very much for all of that!
We are taught, and you’ve also mentioned this in your publications, that the first act of Creation by the Originator, after Creating Himself, was that of the Black woman. What did He have to do first with Himself in order to bring her forth, and what does that say of the value of the woman?
AM: Well I can’t say exactly what He did, and I guess that’s the trillion dollar question that we seek the answer to (laughs), but we are taught, and Minister Farrakhan also teaches us in “The Knowledge of God” Study Guide, is that once He completed His Self-Creation, the very first thing He did even before Sun was that He looked within Himself and in Himself He saw someone else. He saw another creature, and from Himself He brought that creature forth. That creature is Him; it is His Second-Self. That one that He brought forth is Her.
Allah is the He and the very first thing He did was bring forth a Her, and that Her is woman. Of course, when you study the original language of scripture, “man” is male and female. In Western King James Version’s teachings of Christianity in the Western society, emphasis is on gender. In the original time going back to Greek, Hebrew and Arabic, man in the original tongue means human; male and female. Therefore, it is never a fact that in creation woman is inferior to man or that the female is inferior to the male. It is that they serve two different purposes, but at the same level.
What this says about the value of the woman is that her value is immeasurable since He did nothing before He Created her.
EM: Right, yes ma’am!
AM: So, no one can say that she was not essential to everything He did. None of us were there to say that.
EM: She was right there as He Created everything.
AM: Including the Sun! How do we know she wasn’t saying, “Go Baby, go Baby!” (laughs)
EM: Yes ma’am!
The next question I have comes out of what you mentioned about the nine personalities. Is that what He studied within Himself, when He saw that there was another creature, if it’s similar to how we see different sides of ourselves and we want to maximize the best part of ourselves and bring that part out? Is that similar to what you’re conveying the Originator did when He brought forth the woman?
AM: Well, I’ll tell you what the Minister said. He said that she is an “advance over the man”. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad taught that man has a more powerful brain, because that brain was the instrument that said, “Let there be light” and there was light. That is power, but power can be raw. Power can be rudimentary. It can be out of control. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said that the God Who came out of the darkness of space was a Warrior, a Fighter. That was a war that He went through. Therefore, what I think of when the Minister calls her an “advance” that she was a product of a process of refinement.
The anger, the pain and the suffering that He experienced in coming out of the cold dark space six trillion years…. Of course, what He was looking for, I believe and what He found, was “How do I reproduce what I have done”? He needed a companion. He needed someone to communicate with. You can’t communicate effectively with someone less than yourself. You hear mothers as it relates to their children. They’ll tell you, “I just need to talk to someone who is past the age six”. Kindergarten teachers say, “I love my babies, but I want to talk to an adult”.
Therefore, the Originator wasn’t looking for an ant or a zebra. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “Allah said that He loved that He should be known so He Created man”. He wanted someone who could recognize all that He had done, recognize all that he had suffered. I can’t recognize your achievements if I don’t have the capacity to appreciate what you’re doing. As parents, that’s what we tell our teenagers all the time, “Y’all don’t get it. You don’t realize until you reach a certain level of maturity what it takes to do…you just assume that everything is just here”.
EM: Yes ma’am absolutely!
Thank you very much for this magnificent explanation of our Originator and of the Universe we live in! May Allah Continue to Bless you and your family!
AM: It was my honor.
