The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has been mis-quoted, mis-represented and misunderstood for decades due to the social manipulation and white supremacist mindset that exist within the thread of mainstream media and the American government. Anyone who speaks up on behalf of the oppressed, especially the Black man and woman here in America, is vilified and demonized.
I had the opportunity to interview musical artists from both Hip Hop and R&B, that you can read more of at FinalCall.com. This one in particular stood out to me and I wanted to share the full length of it. The words shared by Ronnie DeVoe of New Edition, one of the most influential and successful R&B groups known, gave a firm and heartfelt response to my question of what he sees when he looks at and listens to The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Here’s what he said:
Ronnie DeVoe: The Minister Farrakhan is such an amazing man of wisdom, strategy, perseverance and the courage of his conviction… I know from watching some of his speeches over the years that he’s not going to sway and he’s willing to give his life for his people. Every time I get a chance to see him, I’m there. I love my brother Mustapha (Farrakhan).
The Minister just really made me want to up my game 150%. When I thought I was doing something, to a certain extent I’m doing nothing unless I’m reaching out to my fellow entertainers, actors, musicians, producers to be able to pool those resources together. It’s ultimately an economic thing; put my money into Black banks and Black land and get to the point of, like he said, that we can grow our own crops that are not getting de-purified of all the minerals and good things in our spinach and corn. You got companies like Monsanto that patent seeds and moving their farms next to other farms and if there’s any cross pollination they have the right to take the other people’s farm land or their crops.
These are some of the jewels that I get from the Minister. I’m going to keep continuing to listen and stay motivated by this man of God. He’s like a father-figure. I wish I could have grown up around somebody like that. I feel like I would be President or something like that by now. A man like that has that much power to motivate people.
