Unbeknownst to most, our diet has a large effect on our skin and hair. Good eating habits are essential to healthy hair growth. Drinking half a gallon of water a day, eating fruits and vegetables are great ways to make sure your hair is receiving the nourishment it needs from the inside.

We often turn to vitamin supplements as a remedy for stunted hair growth, and while that is ok, why not just consume the fruits and veggies that the vitamins come from? Here’s a list of foods that contain vitamins that assist in the healthy hair process:

1. Spinach: contains Vitamin A and C which stimulates hair growth.
2. Carrots: contains Vitamin K, B1, B2, B3, and B6 which stimulates growth, improves blood circulation, protects, and prevents breakage.
3. Garlic: contains Sulfur and Selenium which are beneficial to hairs health
4: Celery: contains Water and Vitamin A which prevents dandruff and keeps hair moisturized
5: Beets: contains Carotenoids which improves the quality, thickness and shine of hair.

Add ALL of these to your diet and watch your hair flourish.
